Best New Store Design – Chain Store Age Executive 1988.
Program: Rebrand and redefine how one of the prominent music merchandising retailers related to its customers as well as grow its customer base. The goal also became a strategy to transform them into a leader in their market nationally.
Solution: From creating a new merchandising hexarchy all the way to a completely new brand identity, Camelot music changed how music and movies were sold across the industry. Reconfiguration of genre and product mediums led what became an elevated and entertaining shopping experience no matter what you interest was. This prototype acted as a stage where the experience could change throughout the day through the use of multimedia and merchandising.

- The central concept: Create a stronger organizational flow of circulation and stimulate sales.
- Creating a theater like energy in the central core of the space became the axis or hub.
- Better than ever done before, create logical segmentation/combined media formats, while emphasizing each music genre.
- Utilize an audio system to reinforce the segmented merchandising strategy.
