ASU School of Architecture & Construction Research.

Program: As a 4 person student team, develop a new school of architecture and construction research that closely integrates with The Del Webb School of Construction management. Promote vibrant student circulation and activity at this site located to the North portion of ASU’s Block 12 and allow a 30 year development program plan. In essence, to make this venue an important vital gateway.

Solution: By strategizing circulation and forecasting paths of desire, created a strong connective matrix to the surrounding activity between the university and its adjacent urban district, such as Tempe’s City Hall complex and Mill Avenue. As a connecting corridor or connection point between some important venues between important destinations, this complex becomes elevated in significance. Making this into a permeable space, it Promotes pedestrian traffic over automobile traffic which was also an important part of our strategy.
