San Diego Zoo
Revitalization of large bird aviary.
Program: Amongst the projects designed for the San Diego Zoo, this concept revitalized a closed down habitat and turned it into more vibrant habitat and attraction.
Solution: By planting real as well as fabricated trees which at the perimeter is boundaried by a mostly transparent netted cage creates a forest like environment well shielded from the sun. Within the water streamed habitat, includes rope and plank bridges and undulating walkways with viewing vantage points as well as an observation tower at its peak to see many of the other fascinating points throughout the zoo. Outside it’s entry is a harnessed rope climbing tree attraction.
